Expression
Thoughtful, expansive,
Imagining, writing, posting,
Should I tell you what I think?
Doubting, debating, dreading,
Reticent, insecure
Silence

Happiness
Optimistic, joyful,
Hoping, accepting, connecting
Is this state of mind a choice?
Condemning, loathing, retreating,
Gloomy, shadowy
Depression

  1. I get it. I’ve had the same thoughts about posting. If I say what I think, those who should see those thoughts won’t. Keeping writing real for me means focusing on my writing needs. Good luck and thank you.

  2. The first one-
The word expansive made me appreciate how the shape of the poem did expand and then contract as the doubts entered , leading to silence. And the word debating- how much harm we can do by debating ourselves when we should just be.
The diamanté form really adds to both your poems.
I hope you are well and just exploring depression ❤
